Concert Requirements
If you’d like to book The Carpenter's Men please review our available times (click on Calendar of Events at right) and then contact us.
As with any music group we have specific requirements to be able to lead your people in praise and worship without distractions. Help us organize this event by reading the following information. Please let us know if you’re unable to meet any of these needs. We are flexible.
Arrival Time
We arrive one and a half hours (minimum) prior to a concert to provide adequate time for setup of equipment and rehearsal. Please have someone meet us at the concert location at that time to let us in (we also need your Sound Engineer).
Equipment Needs
- Piano—our pianist prefers piano to a keyboard/synthesizer but we do bring our own keyboard.
- Move the piano to stage left (to the audience's left)
- Have it tuned during the week prior to the concert.
- Make room to the pianist’s right for our keyboard setup.
- Drums—We bring our own for concerts that are within driving distance.
- Make room for the set as close to the piano as possible.
- If this is a remote concert (requires an airline flight), we will need to use your drum set, if you have one. Please ensure your drummer is there for setup so that our drummer can work with yours.
- Podium/Lectern.
- Remove yours prior to our arrival.
- Music stands.
- Laptop (must be very sturdy)
- Guitarist
- Bassist
- Drummer
- Power cords, 10 or 12 gauge heavy duty. They must reach from power outlets to:
- the piano (for our keyboard).
- the front of the stage (for our computer).
- 50′ from the front of the stage (for our mixer).
- Small sturdy table (4′ maximum) for our mixer.
Sound Needs (concert within driving distance)
We bring our own sound equipment (speakers, mixer/amp, mics, stands, and cables).
We bring our own highly qualified sound engineer to mix and equalize the quartet and piano mics and operate them during our part of the concert. We need your sound engineer at the concert location when we arrive to ensure that your equipment is properly moved to make room for ours and to ensure that it doesn’t disrupt your setup. Our sound engineer and yours may decide to make use of your sound equipment in addition to using ours.
Sound Needs (concert requires an airline flight)
If the concert is out-of-state (Arizona), and we must fly to your destination, we will only bring our microphones and some adapters. We will need to use your system plus we also need to ensure that you have:
- Four microphone stands
- Four microphone cables (20′ minimum)
- One microphone cable to our keyboard. We have a ¼′ instrument–mic line adapter.
- One microphone cable to our acoustic guitar (if we have one). We have a ¼′ instrument–mic line adapter.
- One microphone cable to our bass guitar (if we have one). We have a ¼′ instrument–mic line adapter.
Preparational Needs
- A dressing room for our women (pianist and drummer).
- A dressing room for our men.
- A room for prayer time with the pastor prior to the service.
Promotional Needs
- Prior to the concert:
- Download our TCM Concert Flyer (to the right) and print it.
- Download our JPG photos for use in your bulletin, fliers, etc.
- We will also mail posters to you. Please state number needed.
- Advertise in your local paper, on radio stations, and on the internet.
- A table (4′ minimum) to display CDs for purchase. Please have someone help us in determining the best location for this.
